By the time you read this, you may have used the SwiftRev Press Release Platform for a specific editorial brand. If you did, you noticed that the platform is “free submission first” – add your press release and send it to editors for consideration. But we didn’t initially launch this way.
When we first launched we were “paid submission first” – a process that allowed you to both submit to editors but ALSO, in a required way, buy “reach” by showing up in the brand’s Press Release Channel.
Starting today, the default is now a free submission to editors for further consideration while allowing you to buy “reach” as an upsell item. This reach comes in the form of the guaranteed exposure and visibility through the Press Release Channel.
Why did we add a free submission capability to our platform?
Editors, like everyone else, are investing in software to better manage their workflow (i.e. SwiftRev). They’re experience more “spray and pray” email blasts than ever and, honestly, their email inboxes can’t take it.
SwiftRev is quickly becoming their “press release management platform” – all press releases in one place.
What is the new Free Submission feature like?
First, as always, get to the submission process by clicking on the “Submit a Press Release” button at the top of the Press Release Channel page (what we call the page that contains the SwiftRev embed widget, displaying all paid press releases).
Note – your submission will still go to editors for further consideration.
Don’t want to add a paid posting?
Click on the “No thanks” link and your submission will be sent to editors for all relevant brands.
It’s that easy.
